The purpose of this guide is to illustrate how to access PeopleSoft and/or Sims/R applications using the Citrix WinFrame client software and will step through the Citrix WinFrame logon/logoff procedure. This guide assumes you are familiar with logging into and navigating the PeopleSoft and/or Sims/R systems. Step 1 will differ depending on whether you are logging in from a Mac or PC, all other steps are identical across both platforms.
Logging on to WinFrame

To begin the logon to
WinFrame, click the icon corresponding to the application you wish to access.
You should find Citrix WinFrame icons on your Desktop and/or Apple Menu
(Macs) or Start Menu (PCs) as illustrated below:
Note: Administrative Applications is for users that need to access PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft HR, and Sims/R. For more information on the Academic Applications icon, see our Academic page.

After double-clicking the WinFrame icon as illustrated above, you will then be presented with a WinFrame Logon screen. Your username is the same as your Zimmer email userid. For example, my zimmer userid is "johnwa" and my WinFrame logon is "johnwa". The edit box labeled From should default to "WF-ADMIN" and should not need to be changed.
After logging on to WinFrame you will receive a desktop similar to the one displayed below. Please note that the screen you see may differ slightly, but the icons should be identical (although you may have fewer than those displayed). At this point, simply double-click the icon corresponding to the application you wish to use.
Logging
off of WinFrame
When you are ready to log off WinFrame and return to your PC/Mac Desktop, click the START button and select Logoff. You will get a window prompting you if you are sure, just click the button labeled OK.
